This Meeting: Zimzala Restaurant
Perched on the waters edge at South Cronulla, Zimzala provides a contemporary modern Australian menu with a twist.
Recently featured on Good Weekender for its fresh, new approach, Zimzala staff will be out to impress us. .

Last Meeting: Kalevu – Attendance: 20 members, 5 visitors
On arrival we were treated to canap_s of oyster with nam jin and tempura zucchini flowers with goats curd. We were seated for our final canap_, lemon grass broth with blue swimmer crab and caviar. These were accompanied by a 1999 Petersons Sparkling ‘Lee’, a blend of Pinot Noir Chardonnay and Viognier. Unfortunately 6 bottles of the sparkling were not iced down before the meeting. Hurried freezer attention followed so apologies were offered by function director Mark and owner Chris.
Now into full swing we enjoyed a delicious entree of twice roasted duck breast, vanilla bean mash with cassia glaze and wakame, accompanied by our first masked wine 2008 Drumsara Pinot Noir from New Zealand.
Next we had our taste buds tantalised by the main of crispy barramundi with celeriac puree, pistachio dust and apple marshmallow. Our second masked wine was 1997 Petersons Show Reserve Semillon, a gold medal winner.
To finish we had a delightful dessert of white chocolate mojito with palm sugar syrup matched with 2008 Petersons Botrytis Semillon.

Entr_e Wine: Pinto Noir – Lindsay Parnell
Main Wine: Semillon – Peter Swatosch
Well done guys.
Many thanks to Mike Cooper from Classical Wines for his attendance and support on the day, wines supplied were heavily discounted which is a huge saving for our club.
An enjoyable day had by all.
